There are three kinds of gas flame brazing: when the ratio of oxygen to acetylene is 1-1.2, the flame produced is called neutral flame, also known as normal flame. The flame core near the welding nozzle is white and bright, followed by the internal flame. It is blue-purple, the highest temperature here is about 3150 C, and the outermost layer is orange-red. When the volume ratio of oxygen to acetylene is less than 1, the reduction flame is obtained. The combustion is incomplete due to less oxygen. The whole flame is longer than the neutral flame. The appearance is black-red; when the volume ratio of oxygen to acetylene is greater than 1.2, an oxidation flame is formed. Because of more oxygen, intense combustion, shorter flame length, conical core, almost disappeared internal flame, and a strong filament sound; the appearance is light blue.
When using neutral flame welding, heating at 5 mm-10 mm at the tip of the flame core is the most ideal (because the temperature is about 1000 C, which is close to the melting point of copper); nitrogen is filled 10 seconds before heating; the flame center is opposite to the insert in the connector when heating begins (the welding rod is melted by this part of copper tube, not directly melted by flame). However, the flame should be heated at the same time to the insert part; the flame should be heated at the center of the copper tube at the beginning of heating, otherwise the wall of the tube will be unevenly heated. When the heating state reaches reddish, the flame must swing uniformly around the original heating position to dark red, and the flame can not leave the copper tube completely when swinging. Wall.

Preheating state
If the color of base metal is preheated to dark red, the welding rod can be added, and the temperature of copper tube can melt the welding rod at this time; if overheating is not allowed, the solder will flow down the pipe instead of gathering at the welding site, which will affect the welding quality.
